IT'S BACK!

Indoor Hockey UK's Derby Grand Slam is back for another year, once again returning to the wonderful Derby Arena, Pride Park. This year, the event is moving to the end of May aligning with the Spring Bank Holiday in the UK, and also kicking off half term for many! More information about the event can be found below but remember to add to your calendars 19:00 on 1st February 2023 as team entry for the event will open , and we once again anticipate high take up from teams across all age groups.

The 2024 Championships will take place from Saturday 25 May 2024- Monday 27 May 2024. The move to the end of May aligns the event with the Spring Bank Holiday weekend, and the start of half term for many.

All age groups, from Under 10's to up to adults will be taking part, with room for 126 teams. The team spaces available for each age group has been based on previous event entries (and waitlist teams).

All age groups will follow the England Hockey Club age brackets (from 1 September) and will take place on the following days:

All teams should arrive at the venue in time for the warmup session as this is the only time available to them for on pitch warm up and should stay until the completion of the Presentations.

Team sign in opens 90 minutes before the games start time stated for each age group and a team representative, ideally the manger or coach, must ensure they have signed in with the event command table at least 20 minutes before games start.

 Our Derby Grand Slam will once again be held at the Derby Arena, Pride Park, Royal Way, DE 24 8JB . This unique venue, with the cycle track above the 3 pitches, always proves a popular location for our event, and we're delighted to be back.

This years entry fees will be set at £240 per team, which is including VAT. We have tried to keep this years fee to a minimum, but at the same time, we must also ensure the event remains self funding at all times.

You will be able to enter this year's event from 19:00 on Friday 2 February 2024!

Once again, we will be on the lookout out for our brilliant umpires, match officials and other workforce members. Those already registered will be able to enter their availability, and any new members will be able to sign up via My Hockey UK at the same time. For the first time at an Indoor Hockey UK event, spectators will be required to get tickets to watch the event. This allows us to monitor the number of people attending and ensure appropriate levels of medical and security cover are in place. To buy tickets click here.
