Derby Arena is located on Derby's Pride Park, next to the Pride Park Stadium. Development of the £27.5 million Arena heralds the most exciting and important changes to leisure facilities in Derby in the last 40 years. The new arena is primarily a space for sports and physical activity, with a 250m indoor cycle track, 13 badminton courts, suitable for activities such as badminton, netball, football and the ability to host 2 indoor hockey pitches side by side. Our 2019 Derby Grand Slam was the first ever Indoor Hockey event to be held at this spectacular venues, and the marked the first time #indoorhockeyUK staged an event outside the South East.
Pride Park is a business park on the outskirts of the city centre of Derby, England. Developed in the 1990s, It covers 80 hectares of former industrial land between the River Derwent and railway lines. Extensive redevelopment took place over 10 years to reclaim the site, including the building of a new access road to open the area up. Part of the site has been transformed into a nature reserve called The Sanctuary, in conjunction with Derby City Council. Pride Park Stadium and Derby Arena are both located in Pride Park. At times, it may be busier than usual, especially if other events are also taking place. The nearest train station is Derby, which is approximately 15 minutes walk to the arena. Direct rail services connect Derby with London St. Pancras (from 93 minutes), Birmingham, Bournemouth, Bristol, Cardiff, Dundee, Edinburgh, Leeds, Leicester, Newcastle, Nottingham, Oxford, Sheffield, Southampton, Plymouth and many other destinations. Derby has an extensive bus network that will get you around quickly and easily. Derby Bus Station is 30 minutes walk away, and the arena can be reached by several bus routes from around the city. More information and tickets can be purchased from Derby Connected.
Derby Arena is easily accessible for the National Cycle Network. The riverside pathway, National Cycle Route 6, provides traffic free way of getting you close to the Arena from the city centre as well as from the south of the city. Cycle Derby Routes can be found by clicking here.
Taxis and minicabs can be booked in advance to help transport you around Derby, including a quick 2 minute trip to and from the station.

Coach and mini buses are able to park in the arena car park, but space is strictly limited. Drop off bays are available outside the venue. The Arena has 1100 parking spaces available on site. Car parking charges may apply for events. Please check parking conditions on the signs within the car park when parking for our events. Limited parking for those with a blue badge is available at the arena. Please notify #indoorhockeyUK at least 72 hours before attending an event to receive a parking permit. You will be required to display the permit and your blue badge whilst parked throughout the event. If you do not notify us, we can not guarantee a space will be available.
A free drop off / pick up area is available outside the arena. There is no parking within this area and a maximum wait time of 15 minutes. Vehicles must not be left unattended at any time. To help with dropping off, #indoorhockeyUK can provide a kit assistance service, to allow you to leave your kit supervised whilst you park your vehicle. To use the kit assistance service, you must contact #indoorhockeyUK at least 72 hours before attending an event.
