FAQs

What are the Championships?

Our Championships are the event, which has taken place every year since 2004. Since 20116, we have established a home for them at the Copper Box Arena on the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London. The Championships are designed to give players the international tournament feel, with flashing lights, opening ceremonies, run-outs, music and much more

What is the play standard of the Championships?

The Championships are an open events, meaning any team wishing to enter can - and it attracts lots of different clubs from across the UK, and the world! The Championships have a qualifying round on the day, before going to compete in a seeded finals competition. This will hopefully allow teams to play different people in the qualifying rounds, then against teams of equal ability in the the final rounds. For teams with an inexperienced junior set up, we are launching Dev-Fest which may be of interest.

When will the Championships take place?

The Championships will be the closing event of each year, with the event usually taking place over the Christmas holiday period.

How do I enter?

Entry for the Championships will be announced on our website and all social media accounts, with the date usually early September. The cost for the Championships will be published on the team entry system. You can enter the Championships by using our online system. Remember, as this is an open event, any team can enter - you do not have to be affiliated to any governing body. All we ask is that each team ensures they have any necessary insurance, and are responsible for providing any protective kit for their players. #indoorhockeyuk takes no responsibility for injuries to players or members of any team.
